International Presidents Message
August 14, 2006
Mr. Sudash J. Liyanage
President
International Toastmasters
BCIS Toastmasters Club
Dear Sudash and Members of the BCIS Toastmasters Club:
It is with great pleasure that I send this letter of congratulations to you on the occasion of your
charter ceremony. The birth of every Toastmasters Club is an auspicious occasion for two reasons:
(1) it becomes a vehicle to foster the personal growth of its members via the Toastmaster program;
(2) it attracts non-Toastmasters, exposes them to the life changing power of our program and helps
them experience the benefits that we receive.
Sudash mentioned to me your goals to spread the word about Toastmasters to more people and to
take it to the outstations and establish new clubs to help all people. I am delighted to hear that and guaranty to you that in so doing you will not only increase your communication and leadership skills, but you will also be doing Sri Lanka a great service. To learn to express yourself is to discover your gifts and abilities. In so doing, you will become aware that we are all called to use our gifts to serve
our world. That is the meaning behind my theme, “Find Your Voice. Serve Your World.”
BCIS Toastmasters – you have started on a grand adventure of personal and professional development that can spill over to every area of your lives. I’m especially happy that you chartered during my year and wish you every success. May each one of you truly “Find Your Voice and Serve Your World.”
With Sincere Regards,
