The Roundtable discussion on " Elements of Countering Terrorism Strategy by Prof. Alex P Smith*,held at the BCIS on the 19th December 2007"Prof. Alex P. Schmid spoke on the elements of counter terrorism strategy drawing on the responses of experts’ opinion and personal experience as an Officer-in- Charge of the terrorism Prevention Branch of the United Nations in Vienna. In the subsequent discussion he will deal with the “ideal-type counter terrorism set of measures” that could be contrasted to elements of the Sri Lankan Experience.
